Terms of Use

Last updated: June 2026 · Who we are: AI Glassbox™ is a product of SenSym, LLC (“SenSym,” “we,” “us”).

These terms are the simple agreement for using AI Glassbox. By using the platform you agree to them. Because this is a learning tool for children, we’ve kept them short and plain. They work together with our Privacy Policy.

What AI Glassbox is

AI Glassbox is a free, browser-based platform that teaches how artificial intelligence and machine learning actually work, using a small purpose-built language called Spectra, interactive simulations, and a Studio where you can write and run programs. All of a learner’s code runs in their own browser; our servers only store saved work, serve pages, and screen public text.

Learning is free

Everything that teaches is free, and we never paywall a lesson. The only optional paid item is the $10 Capstone Defense certificate, described on the Capstone page. Voluntary donations are welcome but never required.

Accounts

You can browse, run simulations, and use the Studio with no account. If you create an account to save work, it is just a username and password — please keep your password private and don’t share your account. Children should set up an account with a parent, teacher, or guardian. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend an account that is used to break these terms.

Acceptable use

Please use AI Glassbox for learning, and be kind. You agree not to:

• Put personal information (real names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, links) or anything hateful, harassing, sexual, violent, or otherwise inappropriate into a username, app title, or description.
• Try to break, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the platform’s security, or attempt to upload data or reach the internet from student code (the platform is built so these simply aren’t possible — please don’t try to find a way around it).
• Impersonate someone else, or pretend a certificate belongs to a person it does not.
• Use the platform to break the law or to harm others.

Public content (app titles, descriptions, usernames) is screened by deterministic, rule-based moderation before it can be shown. We may remove content or deployed apps that violate these terms, at our discretion.

Your content

The projects you create are yours. By choosing to deploy a project to the public Gallery, you give SenSym permission to host and display its title, description, and code so other learners can view and run it. You can keep projects private by simply not deploying them. A finished project can be downloaded as a single file that runs offline; downloads cannot be re-uploaded, which is part of the safety model.

The Capstone certificate

The optional Capstone Defense recognizes a completed project after a short presentation. It is an educational keepsake, not an accredited academic credential. As described in our Privacy Policy, the certificate is personalized on your own device and we never store a child’s name. Payments are processed by Square; refunds for the Capstone are handled case by case — contact us. A certificate may be verified by ID, which shows no name.

Donations

Donations are voluntary contributions to support a free platform, are processed by Square, and are generally non-refundable. A donation does not purchase any product, service, credential, or special access.

Intellectual property

“AI Glassbox” and “Spectra,” the platform, its simulations, lessons, and design are owned by SenSym, LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may use the lessons and simulations for personal and classroom learning. Please don’t copy, rebrand, or commercially redistribute the platform itself without our permission.

No warranty; limitation of liability

AI Glassbox is provided “as is,” for education. We work hard to keep it safe and accurate, but we don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, SenSym is not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from use of the platform. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law.

Changes & contact
